A Hot Pink Rug is Just What You Need

My sister recently remodeled an entire floor of her home. This was no small task. We are talking about a complete gut. Her incredible friend and designer, Donella, helped her manage this project. Of course I couldn't stay away either. Anne came to me often with questions about her selections. She knows how much fun all of this is for me. Mostly I was a sounding board for lighting and furnishings. Have I mentioned that lighting is my favorite!

One day Anne sent me a picture of this hot pink rug. She told me she loved it, but didn't know if it was too crazy. If you knew my sister, you'd know that this rug is 100% her. Anne is a one woman party. She has this amazing outgoing personality that everyone wants to be around. If you are with my sister, you will have a good time! Does this look like a project that Joanna Gaines did, nope? Should it, nope? Your house should be a reflection of you!

Anne's home is a reflection of her family, from the hot pink rug to the swivel chairs! This remodel is functional, and so much fun! Make sure your home shows a bit of your personality!

Side Note - Anne's oldest daughter, Lily, does not love or even like the hot pink rug. When you are a teenager, you want to be just like everyone else. You don't necessarily want your home to scream fun, you just want to be normal. She asked her mom, "Why can't you just get a sign that says "Blessed" like every other mom!" Oh Lily, the hot pink rug is so much better.
