Rose Lake Progress

My husband Steve grew up spending summers in the tiny northern Minnesota town of Vergas. His family had a small cabin on one of the many lakes in this area. His mom would spend the entire summer there with her three boys while his dad commuted back and forth for work. It is safe to say this little gem of a town has a huge part of Steve's heart.

When I first started visiting Vergas with Steve, I felt a bit like Vera from Cheers. Everyone in the local bar, Billy's, knew my husband. I had some catching up to do! Norm!!

We always knew that some day we'd have a place in Vergas. In 2019 we decided to start making our dreams come true by purchasing a lot on Rose Lake. Steve is testing his skills in home building acting as our general contractor. He spends many weekends at the cabin doing a lot of the work on his own.

There is still a lot of work to be done, but we've made great progress. Check out these amazing stairs that my dad and my husband built. I'm in love! Stay tuned for Rose Lake Updates!
